How to use the Hydrosense One Ultra (step by step guide)

Step 1 : Collect water sample.

Using the collection beaker provided, fill the beaker to the 250ml mark with the sample fluid to be tested.

Step 2 : Draw sample into syringe.

Transfer up to 60ml of the fluid from the beaker into the syringe.

Step 3 : Attach syringe to filter and push through sample.

Screw on the included filter and push the sample through. Repeat this step until all 250ml of sample has been flushed through the filter then disconnect the filter. Remove the cap and attach it to the opposie side of the filter.

Step 4 : Attach the buffer syringe.

Remove the cap from the buffer syringe and attach it to the filter. Push all the buffer solution into the filter then backwash it (draw it back). Do this 3 times. Once complete make sure the buffer syrning contains 0.1mm of solution without air bubbles then unscrew the filter.

Step 5 : Apply the sample to a Hydroseonse one ultra test.

Open a new hydrosense one Ultra test and apply the 0.1ml of buffer solution to the sample window. After 25 minutes, the sample is ready to read. Any line under the 'T' section should be treated as a positive result. If no control line is present, perform a retest of the sample using a new Legionella Ultra test.

This method uses Legionella antibodies which are tagged with red nanoparticles.
